A Building Management System (BMS) is a computer-based system which controls and monitors a building’s main energy systems, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic hot water, lighting and alarm systems. The system itself is made up of both software and hardware.
An effective, professionally managed control strategy is essential to maintain desired levels of service, comfort and safety in an energy efficient manner.

All too often we are welcomed into ‘energy efficient’ buildings, by managers who proudly point to their LED lights in reception and the visible solar panels on their roofs. An effective energy management normally isn’t glamorous and is often completely invisible to the majority of a building’s occupants.
