Is your business coming under internal or external pressure to reduce its Carbon Footprint and improve sustainability? Perhaps you have recently been notified that you are now required to report on your carbon emissions annually and produce a Carbon Reduction Plan? Without dedicated in-house expertise, the whole process can appear rather daunting to the majority of businesses.
GM Energy Management can take the stress out of the process for you. Based on the principles of ISO 50001, our cost-effective Carbon Reduction Programme's are designed to provide your organisation with a one-stop, packaged solution that ensures compliance with government legislation and is guaranteed to significantly reduce your energy costs!!
Below is an overview of our Carbon Reduction Programme’s key components:
SECR Compliant, Annual Energy & Carbon Reporting\n In line with the government’s updated requirements on Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting, we’ll begin by producing a Base-Year Annual Energy & Carbon Report. This will quantify your organisation’s existing Carbon Footprint and provide a baseline against which future improvements can be measured. Each year thereafter, our Annual Reports will ensure that your organisation complies with the government’s requirements on Carbon Reporting, by quantifying all Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions.
Energy Audit\nOur Energy Audit’s will help you to understand your energy use and identify tangible opportunities for real savings. It will look at electricity, gas, oil, diesel, and any other energy sources that your business consumes. If applicable, it may also include transport fuel for company fleet.
Starting with zero and low-cost options, our report will present you with a prioritised list of energy saving opportunities. For each, you’ll see projected implementation costs, along with projected energy, cost and carbon savings. With these, we will be able to help you set realistic targets for reducing your organisation’s Carbon Footprint and budget accordingly.
Carbon Reduction Plan\nFollowing a review of the Base-Year Annual Energy & Carbon Report and the energy saving opportunities identified in the Energy Audit, the bespoke Carbon Reduction Plan will document your organisation’s commitment to reducing its Carbon Footprint and outline a realistic plan for achieving this. It will include a review of targets, future projects, roles & responsibilities and associated budgets. Ensuring compliance with government protocol, this plan will be updated every 12 months following publication of each Annual Energy & Carbon Report.
Quarterly Energy & Carbon Reports\nA quarterly review of progress against targets, previous years and agreed benchmarks.
Consultant Led, Quarterly Progress Review Meetings\nFollowing each Quarterly Report, our Energy Consultant will lead a Quarterly Progress Review with those responsible for Energy within your organisation. These meetings will provide an opportunity to review progress against annual targets and discuss opportunities, ongoing projects and any relevant changes to the business’s operations.
